Sho-Me-Chute Flyers Cub
August 9,2008 next club meeting at 6:00
The fly-in went great. Everyone had a lot of fun, food and good flying. Ernie and Alice
would like to thank everyone that helped. Special thank you to Lawana and Di for their great work, Ron Hawkins field commander and Dale Moore flight commander. There is a lot of work and money that goes into putting one of these on. Ernie would like to thank those of you that registered your planes. We need everyone to register their planes at these events to support the club.
Where's Lyman's scooter. Can you believe someone would put it in the bath room? Guess WHO? I'll give you his initials E.B.
Dennis Walters forgot to take his dog's home with him, while he was at the flight Park. They really wanted to go home. (HA-HA).
John LeBlanc with PD gave a seminar on how he started with PD. Bill Coe is the Founder of the company which was started in 1982 and John joined the company in 1984. Bill met John at an Aeronautical University. John was a skydiver.
While John was at the fly-in Ernie and Ralph gave him his endorsements that he needed to bring him up to date so he would be a legal sport pilot. Ralph also did other check flights.
Dennis Walters, Richard Scalet, and David Mackie are new sport pilots. CONGRATULATIONS
Doug Fetters came and set up with his radio's and went around helping others with their radios.
There were 3 aircraft with N#'s that were not air worthy. Ernie is working on getting them airworthy.
Herbert Stites with Portable Radio service for Motorola was at the fly-in.
Rodney Hutchenson from Mt. Home Arkansas flew his plane to the park and back home.
After the fly-in Ernie and Alice went with us to Branson. What an experience!!! Ernie wore shorts. Have you ever seen that ????? This total stranger asked him if he was wearing shorts or riding a chicken. Then Ernie decided we would go try to ride these things called Segway. They worked by shifting your weight and they felt like they would tip over. And they do. Alice found that out. Then Ernie thought maybe not such a good idea and puts his up. Of course Alice should have had about 20 stitches but Ernie says put a band aid on it.
Have a Great Day
And God Bless
